Blue Bird Bullet

What can I say about the Blue Bird Bullet? It is a blue, bird-shaped bullet vibrator. It vibrates. That’s all I got.

What’s it look like? Like a blue jelly bird swallowed a bullet vibe. The body of the bird is pretty big, bigger than I anticipated. The wings and beak are stubby, but very flexible. The entire bird feels like smooth, slightly squishy gel. The bullet inside the bird is attached to a remote control with a 29.5” (75cm) cord.

How does it work? The vibrations are controlled by a dial that I can easily maneuver with my thumb while holding the remote in my hand. I have no complaints there. The Blue Bird Bullet is huge on purpose because it’s supposed to stimulate a larger area, the vulva in addition to the clit, for example. Reading about it, I expected the wings to be in charge of the labia. They weren’t. The chunky body of the bird laid over pretty much everything. From what I can tell, the beak and fan-shaped tail are supposed to lay over the entrance of the vagina and the clitoris, respectively.

Yes, but how does it feel? The wings and beak add a little something, but using this toy is basically like holding a vibrating egg to your pussy. Which is wonderful, if you’re into that kind of thing. Unfortunately, I am not into that kind of thing. I like to be able to feel areas of concentration, if that makes sense. Take the Rabbit Habit for example. I could feel the ears on my clit and the swirling in my vagina: not just some general vibration.

What’s the downside? Like I mentioned earlier, the beak and tail are supposed to get the clit and the entrance to the vagina in on the fun. I tried my damnedest, but I could not get the toy to line up that way. I got the most out of this toy by angling the beak at my clit to give it some special attention, but this quickly became tedious. Remember that the cord comes out from the tail area. To have the beak on my clit, I had to flip the bird around, which ended up wrapping my wrist in the cord. Then I had to be sure to press down on the beak part to get what I wanted, but that tipped the body and subtracted from its vibrations against the rest of me.

I tried everything with this toy. I used it lying on my back with the tail toward my clit; on my back with the beak on my clit; legs closed, legs open; on my side; on my knees, straddling it. I got off for the first time by lying on top of it and using my fingers from behind. It was… not bad. The second orgasm the Blue Bird Bullet gave me was strong and long-lasting, a complete surprise to me. But I had been thoroughly warmed up by the Pure Wand and Fun Wand, so I’m hesitant to give the Blue Bird all the credit for that one.

Here’s the thing, though. There is definitely something to be said about the way it builds up an orgasm. Since there is little direct clitoral stimulation, the Blue Bird creates a sort of slow burn effect. But even if the slow burn is what the Blue Bird’s all about, it can’t win me over. I’ve already been spoiled the Sasi.

Is it worth it? It depends. Even though the Blue Bird Bullet didn’t do much for me, I know that it’s just a matter of personal taste. If you like egg-style toys with all over vibration, then you’ll probably love this one. If you’re like me and all over vibration sounds boring, then you might want to wait for something else. At $20 from Babeland, it’s a very affordable toy for a novice.
